Renée Healy, CPA

Personal History

Renée Healy was born and raised in Michigan. She attended Portage Northern High School and Western Michigan University. Renée and her husband Dave live in Texas Township, Michigan, with two college-age sons and two dogs. Dave’s two older daughters and four grandchildren contribute to a busy family life. Renée enjoys exercising, gardening, bowling, biking, crafting, reading and volunteering in addition to her chosen field in accounting and finance.

Career path

After graduating from Western Michigan University (WMU) with a BBA in Accounting, Renée began her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young, where she completed her requirements for her CPA (Certified Public Accountant). She then joined the audit team at The Upjohn Company. Her focus switched to financial analysis, budgeting and planning for which she completed her MBA in Finance at WMU. She continued to be assigned increasing financial planning and analysis responsibilities throughout her career at Upjohn/Pharmacia. These responsibilities included budgeting; strategic planning; analyzing actual results; analyzing investment opportunities; designing, implementing and maintaining computer accounting systems; investigating, researching and responding to IRS tax issues; and developing allocation of costs methodologies. After leaving Upjohn, Renée continued her accounting and finance services to numerous smaller entities on a contract basis until joining Midwest Realty Group.

Business Concentration

Renée joined Midwest Realty Group in January 2006 as Controller. Renée is enjoying using her accounting and finance skills in the real estate management, brokerage, investment and development businesses.
