Matt O'Connor

Personal History

Matt was born and raised in Lansing, MI and attended Lansing Catholic Central High School. Matt is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. Matt lives in Grand Rapids, MI near Aquinas College. His parents, Steve and Mary, still reside in mid-Michigan. His sister Kelly and brother-in-law Bob reside in Waterloo Ontario. Bob has a PhD in Physics and is a visiting professor at the Perimeter Institute (http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/) researching Theoretical Physics. In his spare time Matt enjoys golfing throughout the midwest.

Career path

Matt has a background in financial planning and securities. He has also worked with a real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition and rehabilitation of multi family housing. Matt has a Michigan Associate Brokers license and is currently pursuing the CCIM designation.

Business Concentration

Matt’s primary focus is the brokerage and stabilization of Midwest Realty Group’s existing properties as well as proposed developments. He also manages the coordination of services for proposed projects currently owned or under control.
